The microbiome is the word du jour with good reason! Western culture has long ignored the mind body connection and now we’re seeing the ramifications of that. We’re sicker, exhausted, anxious, depressed, stressed, inflamed more than we’ve ever been collectively! But we’re circling back to more holistic, interconnected lifestyles and healthcare!! Thank goodness!!

Gut health is so incredibly important as over 75% of your immune system originates in the gut, 90% of serotonin (“feel good” neurotransmitter") is made there and it’s where we break down food into useable nutrients that keep us full of vitality!

There’s the old saying “you are what you eat” which is partially true but it’s really a bit more complex than that… we’re actually what we eat, digest, absorb and assimilate into the cells! That conveys the complexity of it all a little better and also shows that there’s a number of areas where there can be a breakdown if it’s not working optimally.

We all see the articles that say “take magnesium” or “take a probiotic” or “just add coconut oil” :) right? There are so many great things we can do to help ourselves but as we’ve seen, there’s a number of areas where things can go off the rails, is it stomach acid, digestive enzymes, peristalsis, etc.

It’s really important to see a qualified practitioner to hone in on your individual why! Especially if you’ve tried so much of what’s floating around on the internet and it “didn’t work”. Let’s figure out why and what you need to feel fantastic everyday!!
